Klober joins in celebration of Quality Plumber Week

Klober is supporting Quality Plumber Week (3 - 9 October 2016) to celebrate the skilled work plumbing and heating engineers carry out everyday.

Organised by the Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC), the third Quality Plumber Week aims to raise consumer awareness of using properly qualified and accredited tradesmen in a bid to reduce the number of rogue traders. This is all the more important given the  increasingly specialist work involved in installing green technologies such as biomass boilers and ground source heat pumps.

The week’s focus will also be on promoting the industry to a new generation of plumbers, with recent APHC research having found that 86% of those polled agreed that apprenticeships should be actively encouraged.

The week will also highlight work to tighten up Building Regulations enforcement to counteract companies which bypass regulations in order to undercut.

Klober MD David Arendell commented: “This is the first opportunity Klober has had to support Quality Plumber Week and we believe that doing so can only highlight the quality of products such as those in our lead-free flashings range. Whatever products are used, however, Klober will always seek to promote the highest standards of installation.”
